Why ProMed

Built by People Who Have Covered the Shift

How we work, what an unfilled role is already costing you, and exactly what we verify before a candidate reaches your inbox.

How It Works

Four Steps, No Ticket Queue

Tell Us the Gap

Role, dates, province, and any specific competencies. A phone call works, so does the form. Urgent requests should always be a call.

We Source and Verify

We work our national network against your requirement and complete licensure, record, immunization, and reference checks before you see anyone.

You Review and Approve

A shortlist of professionals genuinely available for your dates. Interview if you want to. Many facilities do not need to.

We Handle the Rest

Contracts, travel, accommodation, onboarding paperwork, and check ins through the assignment. One named contact throughout.

The Cost of the Gap

What an Unfilled Role Is Already Costing You

Vacancies are rarely counted honestly. The overtime premium paid to cover them, the sick time that follows burnout, the recruitment spend on a posting that is not converting, and the revenue lost to a closed scanner or a cancelled clinic day are usually tracked in four different places, so nobody sees the total. Agency coverage is a visible line item, which makes it feel expensive by comparison. It is often the cheaper of the two.

The Standard

What We Verify Before You See a Name

Licensure & Certification

Current registration with the applicable provincial college or national body, confirmed directly, in the province where the professional will work.

Background & Health Screening

Criminal record and vulnerable sector checks, immunization records, TB screening, and mask fit testing where the role requires it.

Experience & References

Supervisor references checked against the specific setting and competency you are staffing, not generic character references.

Availability Confirmed

We confirm the professional is genuinely free for your dates before we put their name in front of you. Not likely to be free, not free if a different assignment falls through. Free.

What We Won't Do
Healthcare business professional standing in an office

No Name We Have Not Verified

We will not submit a candidate we have not verified to make a deadline look better. We communicate plainly about what the placement requires. And we will not tell you we can fill a role we cannot, because the days you lose waiting on a maybe are days you needed for a different plan.

Worth Recommending

This costs us business occasionally. It is also why facilities come back to us, and why our assignments so often end with a request to extend rather than a search for a replacement. When a facility asks for one of our professionals again by name, that tells us more than any survey would. Healthcare staffing is a small world. Facilities talk to each other, and professionals talk to each other more. The only durable strategy is to be worth recommending.

Send us the role, the dates, and the province. We will come back with what we can cover, what we cannot, and how fast.
