It depends on the role, the province, and who is available at the time. We have covered shifts on very short notice, and we would always rather you call than assume it is too late. We will also be straight with you: the more notice we have, the better the match, and the more likely the professional is someone you will want to keep. Hard-to-fill specialty roles take longer by their nature. There are only so many locum MRI technologists or nuclear medicine specialists in the country and they are in demand everywhere, so those roles are worth starting early.
